Toys ‘R’ Us Founder Dies As Retailer Plans To Shut Down All Store In US

Toys “R” Us founder Charles Lazarus is dead at the age of 94.  

Lazarus died yesterday (Thursday) morning… he started the company in 1948 when he was 25 and remained CEO until 1994.

The news comes as the company planned to liquidate its inventory and close all of its stores in the US.

The liquidation sales were scheduled to begin yesterday but were postponed "due to circumstances beyond our control." The sales are now expected to start today (Friday).
