Free Nipsey Memorial Tixs Sell Out In Minutes Then Get Scalped

April 9, 2019

It only took an hour for all of the free tickets to Nipsey Hussle's memorial to be claimed, but some who were able to get their hands on tickets are using the opportunity to make a profit. The memorial for Nipsey will be held this Thursday at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles and it's been reported that his family wanted to hold the service at the 21,000 capacity venue so his many friends and fans can mourn together.

The LAist is reporting that just an hour and a half after the seats were claimed, scalpers went to Craigslist selling the tickets and prices were listed as high as $1,000. However, TMZ says that AXS is clamping down on scalpers by distributing the tickets through their mobile app and by making them are non-transferrable.

The memorial service is set to start at 10:00 a.m. but doors will reportedly open two hours prior. Cell phones and recording devices are not permitted. All parties must enter together and cannot meet up. The tickets were given out for free to California residents only and groups were set at a maximum of four people. As soon as the service is over, Nipsey Hussle's casket will be driven through Los Angeles in a 25-mile procession.
