DJ Khaled and Drake Drop Two Songs: Which One Is Your Vibe?

So, we already knew that DJ Khaled and Drake were teaming up once again for not one, but two songs, “POPSTAR” and “GREECE.” And clearly we’ve been doing something right because we were gifted with both singles Friday at midnight.

We’ve already listened to both more times than we’d like to admit and we’re not not going to say we’ve chosen a favorite, but we will say one is definitely more our vibe. If you haven’t had a chance to check the new tracks out yet, no worries, we got you.

Produced by OZ and TIGGI, “GREECE” features Drake rap-singing about the finer things in life over harmoniously mixed snares, synth and bass, “Come with me, leave all of your things, yeah/We can stop at Gucci, stop at Louis V, yeah/Come with me, fly you out to Greece/Full speed, survoler Paris.” Drake keeps it soft spoken on this one, but still stays on brand name dropping designers and places we mere peasants could only dream of.

And then there’s “POPSTAR, with OZ on the boards again, this time joined by DAVID x ELI. Okay so this one kinda slaps, Drizzy really goes off, flexing his metaphorical muscles over a trap instrumental beat, still name dropping, but this time people, “I'm a popstar, but this s*** ain't bubblegum, yeah/ You would probably think my manager is Scooter Braun, yeah/ But my manager with twenty hoes in Buddakan, yeah, ayy/ Look, Ariana, Selena, my Visa/ It can take as many charges as it needs to, my girl/ That s*** platinum just like all of my releases, my girl”

As the beat continues so does Drake's boasting, he also makes sure to let us know that while last year he kept a low profile, this year he came to play, “Yeah, last year, I kept it on the tuck, ayy/2020, I came to f*** it up, yeah"

It’s no secret Kahled and Drake have undeniable chemistry in the studio, having worked on a number of songs together including,”To the Max," "For Free," "No New Friends" and "I'm on One.” Which each collab we hear something fresh, so this time around whether you like both, just one or neither - let’s be real, at the end of the day both are just “anotha one” of Khaled’s growing list of tracks that will no doubt end up climbing the charts.

Khaled confirmed in an IG post that the two new track will appear on his new album Khaled Khaled, which will serve as the follow-up to his 2019 release, Father of Asahd.
